This is a personal blog of my opinions, experiences, lessons-learned, cultural observations, and photos of cats. Sometimes it also includes odd history lessons or reviews of lesser-known tourist attractions that don’t really merit being better known.

I, Anna, am currently serving as an environmental-sector Peace Corps Volunteer in a semi-rural Paraguayan community, doing projects that relate very little to the fancy International Political Economy degree I completed in 2016. I am originally from New Hampshire and went to school in D.C. with a semester abroad in Chile. As the blog title suggests, I love hiking and ice cream. I also enjoy taking standardized tests, arguing about politics and/or anything else, snuggling cats, making crafts, reading, spending quality time with trees, and exchanging mail.

Hopefully this blog offers a mildly amusing perspective on the Peace Corps Paraguay experience and the human experience.
